History

Paul Edwin Hibbert starts a family-run carpentry and joinery business, Woodplan, based at a small workshop in Houghton Regis, specialising in high-quality bespoke items.

Paul’s sons Tim and Richard join the company as apprentices – later to become joint owners. The company diversifies into office interior fit-out. With the success of this new venture, Paul’s third son Greg joins the team.

Joinery manufacture is outsourced and a new office building with showroom facilities is built on the site of the old premises.

A new brand to suit the developing business is launched.

The Woodplan brand is phased out. The company moves to a larger premises.

A branch is opened in Derbyshire.

The Derbyshire branch relocates to a self-contained office building.

We’ve radically enhanced the concept stage in-house with new virtual-reality technology. See the fabrics and finishes in situ to choose and approve styles easily.
