RRT is a charity and is known globally for providing over three million meals to those in need around the world. They embarked on a significant milestone by establishing their new UK head office and training academy in St Neots, Huntingdonshire.
Recognising the need for a permanent base to bolster its operations, RRT entrusted Accent Office Interiors with the task of transforming the new headquarters.
One of the standout features of the refurbished head office is the training academy, which will serve as a hub for volunteers to receive essential training to further the RRT’s mission. This sits alongside vibrant office, meeting spaces and breakout areas.
A resource centre was created, designed to facilitate collaboration among staff and volunteers. It will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the charity’s initiatives, including the ongoing Operation 322, which provides vital aid to Ukrainian refugees.
David Brown, Director and Volunteer at RRT said: “Accent stood out from the crowd during initial scoping and tendering appraisals. Their experience and grasp of our requirements significantly enhanced our own understanding of our needs, saving time and reducing costs whilst enhancing future operational efficiency. We received regular progress updates and we have been pleased with the fair way extra items have been handled. We completed the project on time and within budget which is very important for a charity.”
With a capacity to accommodate more than 20 individuals, the headquarters currently hosts four permanent staff members, with expansion plans in the pipeline to accommodate additional volunteers and directors for local projects.
Remarkably, the entire refurbishment project was executed within a 19-week timeline, enabling the RRT to move into its new headquarters on August 8, 2023.
Rodney Hibbert, Sales Director at Accent said “It has been an honour to collaborate with the Rapid Relief Team on this remarkable project. Accent takes immense pride in helping organisations like RRT create spaces that align with their vision and purpose.”
“We’re dedicated to delivering seamless projects and this project’s success is a testament to our dedication to excellence in interior design and refurbishment. We’re thrilled with the outcome, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on the RRT’s incredible work in the community.”
